Our founder, Jeff, has worked in the Brazilian Amazon for 26 years; the last 16 of which have been focused on botanical research. The Camu Camu fruit came to his attention through several Brazilian and International researchers.
They asked Jeff to take the Camu back to the US for a more thorough analysis on more sophisticated instrumentation. They were particularly curious about the extremely high levels of natural occurring Vitamin C along with many other interesting novel compounds.
Working with various universities and medical institutes, their research revealed a vast and complex compound matrix with over 183 different compounds, including an undiscovered, and significant new novel compound and molecule. Many researchers studying the Camu began referring to the fruit as a Pharmacy in a Fruit™ because of its vast compound matrix, their synergistic benefits and concentrations.

What are amino acids?
Amino acids are often called the building blocks of protein. Your body uses them for many important functions, including building and repairing proteins and producing certain hormones and neurotransmitters. Some amino acids are made by the body, while others must come from the foods we eat.
